Farewell to the founder of Jacob's Way and the president of the Society of Friends of the Way of St. Jakob in Slovenia

In 2020, members of the association and the rest of Jacob's pilgrims will be remembered for the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the successful operation of the association, which we celebrated in July on the feast of St. Jakob and due to the unexpected departure of the founder of the association, the conceptual founder of Jacob's Way and the long-time president of the Society of Friends of the Way of St. Jakob, who succumbed to infection with the new corona virus covid 19 in the year of the epidemic. After a month of treatment in the hospital, on October 30, 2020, at the age of seventy-nine, he set off on the eternal Way of James, leaving Slovenia and the pilgrims a rich legacy of his work, the Way of James - Slovenian fireplace.

For the repose of his soul, members of the Jacob's Society, Nov. 6. 2020 at 4:30 p.m. offered a holy mass for him in the Church of St. Jakob in Ljubljana. The mass was led by the local pastor Fr. Silva Šinkovec, and the members of the cycling section of the association Helena and Franc Štefanič sang.
